Hello, I'm Sophie. I'm a twenty-something, dog-loving, self-taught, Product Designer from Liverpool. 

I’ve spent the last 12 years in the design and tech world. Not realizing it at the time but my journey kicked off while still in secondary school. After a brief Photoshop lesson, I spent a lot of my free time making posters and social assets for local businesses in Liverpool. This led to me being noticed by Liverpool Fashion Week, who asked me to overhaul the full design/brand of the 2014 show. This was a dream come true at such a young age.  I never thought I’d still be at it today, just now on a much bigger and tech-savvy scale.

By the time I was 16, I was hired straight out of school as a full-time junior designer. I spent a few years in my first professional role, improving my visual design and UI skills, and learning the ins and outs of the industry. Eventually, I dropped the junior title and was ready for my next career move.

I then moved to a new city at 19 to dive into a new role focusing on psychology and UX. After an intense stint, I returned to Liverpool and joined a huge App Agency in the Baltic Triangle area. With my combined Ul and UX knowledge, I naturally started seeing things from an entire product perspective and after a couple of months, I was promoted to leading the product team. For the following five years, I developed so much as a designer working with big-name brands, solving digital problems and producing groundbreaking products.

The experience throughout my different roles gave me the confidence to go solo just under 3 years ago. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to work with and advise over 15 clients, both internationally recognised brands as well as start-ups and SMEs, helping them develop and enhance their digital products.

As cliche as it sounds, I don't consider what I do as work because I genuinely love it. My other hobbies include travelling, building Lego and reading thriller books.
